The organization dedicated to the enhancement and promotion of one of New York City's most historic, dynamic and compelling neighborhoods. In no other place throughout the five boroughs can one find such impeccable views, alluring public spaces, charming streetscapes, unique shops and restaurants and celebrated architecture all within a five block radius. Here, you can find out information about upcoming events, local small businesses, neighborhood news and the variety of services the Dumbo Improvement District provides from beautification to block parties to develop the neighborhood's thoroughly intriguing and ever evolving sense of place.

The Dumbo Improvement District unveiled an extensive public art project and upgrade to the Brooklyn Bridge Pedestrian Walkway as part of Mayor Bloomberg and Brooklyn Borough President Markowitz’s five-day celebration in honor of the 125th birthday of the Brooklyn Bridge.

SMART ENVIRONMENTAL EFFORTS

This spring, the Dumbo Improvement District plans to formally launch a neighborhood sustainability program: Smart Environmental Efforts in DUMBO (SEED).
